Coinbase
The coinbase
integration lets you access account balances and exchange rates from Coinbase.
You will need to obtain an API key from the API section in Coinbase’s User Settings to use this integration. You need to select the account wallet or wallets (e.g. “BTC Wallet”) that you wish to show in Home Assistant and give read access to wallet:accounts
in order for the integration to access relevant data. It is worth noting that once you close the New API Key popup on Coinbase you will not be able to see the API Secret again.
Configuration
To add the Coinbase integration to your Home Assistant instance, use this My button:
If the above My button doesn’t work, you can also perform the following steps manually:

Browse to your Home Assistant instance.

In the bottom right corner, select the Add Integration button.

From the list, select Coinbase.

Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup.
Options
Options for Coinbase can be set via the user interface, by taking the following steps:
- Browse to your Home Assistant instance.
- Go to Settings > Devices & Services.
- If multiple instances of Coinbase are configured, choose the instance you want to configure.
- Select the integration, then select Configure.
Currency used as the currency unit for exchange rate sensors. The default is US Dollar (USD).
The number of decimals calculated in exchange rate sensors, a smaller number of decimal places may be returned when the upstream data from Coinbase lacks sufficient precision, this is usually the case when the exchange rate is much larger than the base currency and thus should have no significant effect on calculations.
